The cornea is the clear, transparent, protective outer layer of the eye and protects the eye from dirt and germs. If the cornea is damaged by infection or disease, it can even lead to impairment of vision.

The different types of corneal diseases are: -

  • Stevens-Johnson syndrome - A rare inflammatory reaction.
